Alma Discovery: Primo VE & NDE

Many of your current Primo VE settings will migrate to Primo NDE when you choose "Duplicate for NDE" in the three dots next to a current view:

Settings that won’t migrate from Primo VE to NDE:

• Logo
• CSS customization
• Javascript custom display settings
• Third party add-ons entered in Javascript

You’ll need to readd your logo and any HTML customizations for the NDE. 

• Logo: needs to be named library-logo.png, recommended file dimensions are 411 x 123px.
• HTML customizations: download customization package, copy your customization from old view into new CSS file (some may need to be revised), zip, and reload.

Ex Libris is introducing a new configuration option that enables you to include add-ons directly with the Alma Menu Discovery>Other>Add-on Configuration page. However, this depends on third-party collaboration to develop compatible add-ons in advance. They are working with Third Iron and have been collaborating with StackMap and Springshare to support this effort.

To transition to NDE, you will need to review your current customizations for compatibility, leverage new configuration options, and determine which customizations require adjustments for the Angular-based framework.
