An “e-person” account must be created in order to be assigned privileges related to content editing and input for campus sub-communities and collections in both SOAR and SUNY Digital Repository. An individual can self-register, but a system admin will need to assign privileges.
To self-register (SOAR):
- Click Login
- Under "Register new user" click on "Click here to register"
- Enter your email address
- Click "Register"
- Message "An email has been sent to [address entered] containing a special URL and further instructions"
- Retrieve the email – "To complete registration for a DSpace account, please click the link below: [link]"
- Create Profile – complete fields for first name, last name, contact telephone, language and password
- Click on "Complete Registration"
- Use the "Reset Password" button to reset your password if needed
To self-register (SDR):
- Click Log In
- Under "Log in" button, click on New user? Click here to register.
- Enter your email address
- Click Register
- A message appears: "An email has been sent to [address entered] containing a special URL and further instructions"
- Retrieve the email – "To complete registration for a DSpace account, please click the link below: [link]"
- Create Profile – complete fields for first name, last name, contact telephone, language and password
- Click on Complete Registration
- Use the Reset Password button to reset your password if needed
Note: the SOAR or SUNY Digital Repository site-wide administrators can also create an “e-person” account, and they will need to assign privileges before you can do work in the repository. Please contact them at:
