Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS)

The Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS), reporting to the Office of the SUNY Provost, helps ensure the effectiveness and viability of SUNY Libraries with strategic planning and operational support services for information resources and library automation.

Mission

OLIS strives to support excellence and innovation in libraries and affordable learning programs by building collaborative learning networks, developing efficient shared services, growing and sharing campus staff expertise, and enhancing system-wide best practices.

Innovation & Policy Development

• Policy development and communication within and beyond the SUNY library community
• Liaison with SUNY Provost
• Fiscal agent activities that include procurement, contract and vendor funding, innovation funding, and partnership development
• Operational support for Library Support Services, Open Access Repositories, and Open Educational Resources (OER)
