Alma Analytics

Using Preview

Let's say you are in the Analytics Catalog looking for a report to use for loan statistics. You look in the Shared Folders > Alma > Fulfillment > Reports folder and see several reports that look promising:

But you don't want to have to click on and run each of them to see what criteria they use and what the results look like.

A quick way to see the contents of a report is to use Preview. Instead of clicking on “Open” or “Edit” just click on anywhere else in the row of the analysis you would like to know more about. You will then see the results of the analysis displayed in the Preview window below the Catalog window.

Force "Edit" Report/Dashboard to Open on Criteria Tab Instead of Results

When you create or edit an analysis, the default setting is to open on the Results tab, where you view and edit the final layout of the results.

If you prefer to always open on the Criteria tab (where you build the query), you can change the setting in your account preferences.

  • In the top right corner, click on your account logo and choose My Account:
open profile and click on my account
  • On the Preferences tab, go to Analysis Editor > Full Editor and choose Start on Criteria tab when editing Analysis
choose criteria instead of results when editing analysis
  • Click OK to close the My Account window
