The SUNY Library Services team is working with SUNY EIT Officers to determine the best way to assess library resource accessibility. This guide is a first step towards reaching that goal. We've compiled a list of centrally managed library vendors and their platforms, as well as other commonly used library vendors. For each vendor, we'll link to their accessibility statements, contact person, VPAT®s, alternative access request options, and any other available accessibility information.
SUNY has convened a SUNY Libraries Accessibility Cohort to develop understanding of accessibility issues and relevant technical accessibility standards, policies and laws. Cohort members are gathering input on accessibility issues from campus stakeholders at their institutions. As an expected deliverable of their participation, cohort members have begun to work as a team to critically review VPAT®s and accessibility documentation.
