SUNY Shared Collection Development PolicySUNY Libraries Consortium (SLC) works collaboratively with member libraries across the SUNY system to build a collection of shared resources that are accessible to multiple campuses. Resources are selected for shared collection building based on value and relevance to the Consortium collectively so students and faculty across the SUNY have equitable access to high quality information resources. In selecting resources for inclusion, SLC highly values the input of SLC members libraries as well as recommendations from the SLC Executive Board and the SLC Commercial Products Committee. SLC considers the needs of all campus sectors: community colleges, comprehensive and technical colleges, doctoral-granting institutions, and university centers as well as the diversity in research and teaching curriculum that is happening across SUNY.
