Open Form Editor

The Form Editor can be opened to view MARC Fields:

  • LDR
  • 001-009
  • Complex holdings fields, such as MARC 852


The Form Editor allows catalogers to view the positions and how they have been cataloged for the MARC record. In SUNY, any changes to the master OCLC record should be made in OCLC Connexion Client. The Form Editor should be for viewing how the MARC record was cataloged only!

How to Open & Close the Form Editor

To open the Form Editor:

  1. Open the bib record in the MD Editor
  2. Click into one of the MARC fields that has the ability to open the Form Editor
    • LDR
    • MARC 001-009
  3. Click Editing Actions>Open Form Editor or Ctrl+F


To close the Form Editor either:

  1. Hit the Esc key on your keyboard OR
  2. Click into another MARC field
