This guide is meant to help SUNY Libraries navigate the quickly moving changes associated with COVID-19
Top-level SUNY sites for COVID-19 information:
To all SLC Members,
The SUNY Libraries Consortium Board of Directors endorses the recommendation of the Association of College & Research Libraries, and the American Library Association in supporting the safety and well-being of library workers and the communities we serve by calling for the closure of library buildings until the risk from COVID-19 is significantly reduced.
As academics we understand the special role that libraries play on campus and are encouraged that so many SUNY schools consider the library to be such an essential part of their program. And we take pride in providing consistently reliable service of the highest caliber. Yet, given the uncertainties pertaining to the current global public health pandemic, we call on all SUNY campuses to close their library buildings for the duration of the crisis.
